FAQ's

Booking:

Why do I need to put my credit card information down to book an appointment? Will I be charged?

No! The reason card information is required to book an appointment is to help prevent no shows and late cancelations. You will only be charged in the event that you do not show up for your appointment.

Can I pay in cash at the appointment even though my card is on file?

Yes, paying in cash is always an option. We don't need to charge the card on file at all.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

That's totally okay. Please do your best to give me a 24 hour notice and also read my "policies" page for more information.

Can I book multiple appointments at once?

Yes, of course! If you are planning to keep up with your lashes, I recommend always having your next few appointments booked in advance. I also recommend pre-booking any appointment that is related to any important dates or events in your life!

Lashes:

Will lashes damage my natural lashes?

No. Lash extensions are not damaging to the natural lash when applying the lash correctly. It's important that we choose a length and style that will be supported by your natural lashes. Everyone is different and I will help you decide the best fit for your lashes while still achieving a look you will be happy with.

How should I arrive to my appointment?

Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup and clean lashes. Wear something comfy as you will be laying there for 1-2.5 hours. If you wear contacts, I highly recommend taking them out for your appointment.

How often do I need refills?

Refills should be scheduled every 2-3 weeks. As your natural lashes shed, so will your extensions. Also, lash extensions will become outgrown with the natural lash growing process. During refill appointments, I will remove and replace any outgrown lashes as well.

Can I wear makeup with extensions?

Yes. Please avoid mascara on the extensions but most eyeshadow and eyeliner are okay to wear. Note that products around the eyes should be oil-free and all makeup should be removed at the end of every day using an oil-free remover.

Can I go swimming with extensions?

Yes! Just note that salt water and chlorine can be drying to the lash extension glue so make sure to wash them afterward.

Can I work out?

Yes. I always recommend washing your lashes afterward.

Can I get a spray tan?

You sure can! I usually recommend spray tans to be done prior to your lash service or covering the extensions while tanning.

How do I care for my extensions?

Aftercare will be talked about in detail during your lash appointment. I will also answer any other questions you may have!

Waxing:

How do I prepare for my appointment?

The best results are achieved with hair being about 1/4 inch long (think, grain of rice). For most people, we suggest not shaving or plucking hair for about two weeks prior to your first wax appointment. If your hair is not long enough, you may be asked to reschedule.

How often should I get waxed?

This varies a bit with how fast each persons hair grows, however, the average time between waxing appointments is every 4 weeks.

Can I shave in between appointments?

NO. Do not shave hair between appointments.

Can I be waxed if I have my period?

Yes! You will need to wear a tampon for the duration of your service. Just keep in mind, you may experience more sensitivity around that time of the month.

Will my hair grow back darker or thicker?

No! This is a myth. The more you wax, you will notice the opposite. Hair will eventually grow back more sparse, resulting in an easier, pain-free wax!

Can I tan after waxing?

It is not advised to be out in the sun or in a sunbed for 24-48 hours following waxing. Waxing exfoliates the top layer of skin and your skin needs time to regenerate its layer of protection.

What if I'm sunburned?

If you are sunburned in the area you are being waxed, you will be asked to reschedule. For this reason, avoid prolonged sun exposure prior to your appointment.

Can I be waxed if I'm pregnant?

Yes, absolutely! Just let me know so that I'm aware.

What about aftercare?

Aftercare will be gone over in detail during your appointment. I will also answer any other questions you may have.

Lamination/lash lifts/tinting:

What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a semi-permanent way to enhance the lashes by curling and lifting your natural lash. This is a great alternative for lash extensions if you are looking for something more natural with less upkeep. Lash lifts last an average of 6-8 weeks.

How do I prepare for my lash lift appointment?

Please arrive to the studio with no makeup on your lashes. I recommend stopping any use of a lash serum 24-48 hours prior to your appointment and you may resume use of it again 24 hours after your appointment. I recommend removing any contact lenses prior to your service as well.

How do I care for my lash lift?

Aftercare will be gone over in detail at your appointment as well as any questions you may have, but know that you will need to avoid putting any makeup on or getting lashes wet for the following 24 hours. In other words, if you are getting the lift for an event, make sure to schedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior.

What products do you use for your lash lift?

I use Elleebana products for lash lifts.

What is a brow lamination?

Similar to a lash lift, it's a semi-permanent way to hold your brows in a desired placement. We can brush your brow hairs to give a fluffy and more full look to your brows that will last 6-8 weeks.

How do I prepare for my brow lamination?

Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup on your brows. Prior to your appointment, I recommend avoiding the use of exfoliants, AHA's, or retinoids on your face for 1-2 weeks.

How do I care for my brow lamination?

Aftercare will be gone over in detail at your appointment as well as any questions you may have, but know that you will need to avoid putting any makeup on or getting brows wet for the following 24 hours. In other words, if you are getting the lamination for an event, make sure to schedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior.

What products do you use for the lamination?

I use Brow Code products for laminations.

What is a brow/lash tint?

Tinting is a great way to enhance and define the existing brow hairs and/or natural lashes. A gentle, semi-permanent dye created for the brows and lashes is used to darken the existing hair. Tints are commonly paired with waxes, lash lifts, and brow laminations.

How long will my tint last?

Lash tinting lasts for about 4 weeks and brow tinting will last about 3-4 weeks on the hairs and may leave a slight stain on the skin for up to 7 days, creating a "fuller" look.

Tooth Gems:

Can anyone get tooth gems?

Generally speaking, yes. As long as you do not have any major dental issues.

How Long Does It Last?

They can last 3-9 months with proper care. Make sure to brush your teeth as normal and try to be conscious not to eat any excessively hard foods, or at least not bite on the side you have the gems on.

How do I remove the gems?

Gems will fall off naturally after time but if you are needing/wanting to remove them sooner, I recommend making an appointment with your Dentist to properly remove the gem.

Can I still receive routine teeth cleanings/whitening?

Short answer, yes. If you're concerned about any routine checkups with your orthodontist, you should do this 1 week before treatment. You can still have teeth whitening done, caution will just be needed when using the mouth piece or tools needed to properly complete the treatment. If it's an at home teeth whitening kit, there should be no issues having this done, but make sure to clean properly before & after.

Do I need to be at least 18 to have this treatment?

Yes, I only apply tooth gems to individual 18-years old or older. Please be ready to present a valid ID at the time of your service!

Can I feel the gem on my tooth?

The jewels are only 0.4mm or 0.9mm thick and 1.8mm to 3mm in diameter. Initially, something on your tooth will feel different, but a few days after the application, you will get used to the new feeling.

Can I still receive tooth gems with fake teeth or veneers?

No, the bonding agent will only attach to natural tooth tissue.

Can I brush my teeth normally?

The presence of the tooth jewelry will not make any difference regarding dental hygiene. However, it is recommended not to use an electric toothbrush & wait 12-24 hours after treatment to brush.

What if I swallow the tooth gem in the event it falls off?

The jewels are tiny glass crystals or gold. They have no sharp edges. It will come out "the natural way."

Will the tooth gem harm my tooth?

When properly placed on a natural tooth, the jewelry will not damage or harm your tooth in any way.

Does the application hurt?

Not at all. The procedure is painless and similar to placing an orthodontist bracket on a tooth.

What if I have Invisalign? Can I have this done?

No, Invisalign would not fit with the gem on your teeth. Your straight teeth are more important!

What are the gems made of?

The tooth gems I use are made from 100% genuine Swarovski crystals or gold. They are free from lead and other harmful chemicals with NO acrylic or plastics.

I have a design in mind, can you do it?

Always feel free to reach out to me/send me photos of anything you're looking for! If I don't have the gems in stock that we would need for the design you are looking to get, I can order them for you.
